CREATORS

The inception of "What the Frank?” came from the creation of a single character for a VO demo reel, produced by two brothers, one an audio engineer and one a voice-over artist.

However, once in the vocal booth, the process of trying to make each other laugh and the enjoyment of being creative together led them to develop the idea into a sprawling and surprisingly dense world.

The original concept came from a simple joke about a family visiting a zoo and being asked for a cigarette by a cranky, worn-out tamarin monkey, but it quickly expanded into an entire universe that is rich with unique voices, style, visual art, lore, mysteries, complete histories, and story arcs for a large and growing cast of memorable oddball characters.
